Professional Event 6 January, 2010
UzTEA Samarkand branch started 2010 with a wonderful professional event, the seminar based on materials designed by BC for ETTE project. 23 EL teachers from a number of Samarkand secondary schools participated in the seminar.
Reading Club Results 2009 29 December, 2009

Here you can find the list of all the topics we have had so far at the sessions of Reading Club project which I started in June, 2007. I always loved reading, and initially I had a wish to help others, first of all, teenagers, appreciate it as a unique way to discover the world around us as well as the world within us.

New Year Party at Eldorado 28 December, 2009
The celebration of the upcoming year took place on 27 December, 2009 at one of the best restaurants in the downtown, which is called Eldorado. Together with the staff of 'English 4 You' language centre we had a wonderful time enjoying the party. So, take your time to look through other photos.
13th annual UzTEA conference in Tashkent 7 December, 2009

On December, 4 - 5, 2009 the 13th annual UzTEA conference took place in Tashkent. The theme of the conference was Integrated Skills Development in ELT. Steve McNulty, director of British Council, Uzbekistan opened the conference with presentation Teaching Integrated Skills. The other keynote speaker was Dennis Johnson, English Language Fellow, who delivered a lecture Inside the American-Style Essay. At the plenary ETTE team reported about results of the project.

Samarkand was presented by a team of 10 people. For one of them, Karina Avanesova, it was the first conference in her life.
